Monave Vegan Lip Glaze is shiny, sheer and takes pigment very well. It can be used in lip gloss tubes, but is too soft for lipgloss pots. This product is slicker than our original liquid gloss base, and a very popular option for vegans as well as traditional cosmetics clientele.
Directions: For a sheer lip product a ratio by weight of 1/30 pigment to base can be used; up the ratio of pigment for an opaque liquid gloss.
First, weigh out the uncolored base into a pyrex measuring cup, that is sitting in a pan that has about an inch and a half of water. Each Monave platinum gloss tube holds ten grams of product, so to make two glosses, use 22 grams of base, and 1 gram of pigment. Adjust this amount depending upon how opaque you want your lipgloss to be.
Once the base is warm, stir in the pigment, then immediatly inject it into the liquid gloss tubes with a needleless syringe. Cap the tube and firmly screw it down. This will ensure that the plastic insert seals the tube. Flavoring can be added after the pigment if desired. For natural flavoring, try sweet orange, peppermint, or coffee. Rasberry extract can be used as well.
Scrape out the leftovers, and put them in a small pot or baggie for sampling purposes.
