Mineral Makeup Sales and Crafting Seminar The next crafting and sales seminar will take place on: Sunday, March 7, 2010. 9:00-6:00 914 S Wolfe St Baltimore, MD. 21231 Continental Breakfast & Meet and Greet Time: 9:00-9:30 This year's crafting and mineral makeup sales event will include the option of a webinar. All you will need is your computer. Details will follow. We will be listing the classes, and speakers on this page over the coming weeks, so please check back for more information. Here is the current list of classes being offered. How to Advertise on a Dime: Positioning Yourself as an Educator Time: 9:30 Instructor: Deborah Bilezikian, CEO Monave Mineral Makeup Most small companies can't afford advertising, whether print or otherwise. This class will provide concrete tips and strategies, based upon marketing from the standpoint of education. Following these strategies can increase exposure, and sales for a small business and pave the way for media exposure. Crafting Shadows and Blushes: from Basic to Bold Time: 10:30 Instructor: Kim Platko, owner of Geografx Cosmetics Using natural pigments can seem limiting, since dyes produce more vivid shades. Kim will provide formulas and techniques for using a variety of mineral-only based pigments to create a palette of mineral colors that is unique and varied. These formulas will be simple to take home and expand upon. Lunch at area restaurants: 12:00-1:30 Making Foundation from Scratch 101-1001 Time:1:30-3:00 Instructor: Deborah Bilezikian, CEO Monave Mineral Make up This class will progress from a beginning level basic overview of how to craft mineral foundation, into the more complex strategies required to create a palette for a variety of skintones. Each table will be provided with pigments, tools, packaging, and formulas, and will make product during the class. Webinar attendees may pre-order supplies. How to Package Lip & Cream Products for Professional Presentation: Time: 3:00-4:30 plus question & answer time Instructor: Kim Platko, owner, Geografx Cosmetics Including the categories of potted gloss, gloss in a tube, lipstick for molds, lip balm, and cream shadows and blushes, Kim will provide a step by step presentation on how to create professional-looking products for sale on the market. It will include crafting tricks, resources for supplies, shortcuts, and labelling advice. Shop Wholesale at Monave New customers can meet with their reps to open accounts and browse our wholesale stockroom. Existing customers can shop for bulk supplies, including Monave's newest bases: vegan moisture mousse, lip balm/lipstick base, slip line lip balm tubes, and Cream to Powder base. The schedule for the day includes a continental breakfast at 9:00, and an opportunity to meet with Monave wholesale reps after 5:00. If you would like to discuss opening a wholesale account with Monave, please contact our wholesale department prior to the event to reserve a spot with a rep. wholesale @ monave . com If you are coming from out of state, and looking for reasonable accomodations, we suggest getting a room at the Mt Vernon Hotel. It is a quick drive, or cab ride to the Monave facility, and is a lovely, historical hotel with much lower pricing than the chain hotels in Baltimore. The nearest aiport is BWI, which is about 20 min from downtown Baltimore.
